Easter Time!

Spring Break 08

.......................................................................Todd took the week off for Spring Break. We all needed some time together just hanging out around town. We enjoyed our zoo pass. It was a beautiful day and it wasnt crowded. We had a great time! We also went bowling and went to Country Buffet. Brandon went back way too many times. That boy has a hollow leg! They all loved geting their mixed drinks with ALL of the flavors of pop! Todd and the kids went to Castlewood Canyon with the dogs. We also dyed Easter Eggs of course. Todd and I also went on a date of sorts to the District Scout Dinner where Todd was awarded a District Award of Merit.

New Bishop

Those of you who used to live near me may be interested that yesterday we got a new bishop in our ward. I dont like to use last names in my blog but if you look in my Night in Paris post the our new leader is pictured with the bunny ears over his head! He will be great. This is the first time that Todd and I have been really good friends personally with the our ward bishop and his wife. Andrea was primary pres and I was her counsellor. Brandon was excited because he may get to babysit for the bishop's boys again! The counsellors are fairly new to the ward. - I guess compared to us at least. I just got a note that they are doing a surprise bishops book for our previous bishop --- so those of you who are interested in doing a little page or memory send me an email and I will get you the info ASAP.

We also will be getting a brand new chapel next year and we can walk to it from our house!!!!

Christen's First Grade class

Christen's first grade teacher is having a baby very soon and the class has a baby shower for her . She would not tell us the sex of the baby until that party so we gave her casseroles. (always useful) She had all of the kids around her and had her little girl tell us all they were having a sister. Later Christen was being so cute and silly with a few of her classmates!!

Blue and Gold and Bear award for Trevor!

We recently had our Blue and Gold Dinner for cubs. It was fun and went well. We did a taco bar and desserts. Trevor earned his Bear award and one gold and 2 silver arrows. Yeah for Trevor!

Good Bike Riding Weather

*********************************************************************************************Here is Christen with her new birthday bike. She loves it and we have had alot of good weather in between snowy days for us all to ride together.

My baby is 7!!

...................................................................................Christen's 7th birthday is today! I cant believe it! She is so grown up, and yet still loves to be cuddled and doesn't seem to mind when I call her my baby.

We do friend birthday parties every other year and this was her year. I told her that if we did one at the house rather than going somewhere she could invite more friends. And invite she did! Between church, school and dance class we had 14 little girls total on this past Saturday afternoon. We had it pretty organized with 3 different stations with Todd and the boys both helping me - ALOT!! It was fun though.

I made a butterfly cake from an idea in the Family Fun magazine and it turned out pretty cute even though we decided it looked better upside down from the original layout. We just moved the twizzler antennaes.

She also got a bike for her birthday, which she was thrilled about.
