Day Camp Director

Todd was the Cub Scout Camp Director for our District and planned this whole year for the camp that ended up with 325 attending. (June 27-29) It was at our Stk Pres. ranch and it all went so well. It was SO MUCH WORK for both of us but he had so many compliments. The theme was space and I even convinced him to play the Star Wars theme on his trombone for the scouts. They thought he was so cool! Brandon was in charge of the trading post with two other boys and was excited to earn some extra money. He is thinking about heeleys after Trevor - see below. I made a camp flag with our ward boys. It turned out nice even though sewing is NOT my thing. I dont know of many Cub Masters who enjoy sewing!! The kids were involved it the design and tey liked it. The stake leaders gave us a gift crtificate for all of our work so we will enjoy using that as a belated Anniversary dinner for us. (14 years - wow)
We are on our way to South Dakota on Sat for a week and then the kids and I are excited to see some of you in Utah the end of this month! Happy 4th of July!!!

What a difference a year makes! Fathers Day '07

We have been very reminiscent of the changes that this past year has brought. Todd had his accident the day before Father's Day last year. We have been so very blessed that he is healthy and alive and doing so well!

Trevor's birthday surprise

For Trevor's actual birthday he had asked for some heeleys. He knew he was getting them because we had to check his size and order them online. So when they came I tried to hide them - but not good enough apparently. At some point when I was not around he sneaked around and looked for them and a also found a few other small items. When Todd and I found out we decided he deserved to learn a little lesson so we played a trick on him. I put some of Christen's dress shoes- red Dorothy shoes- in the box that he had snooped around in. It was hilarious to see the expression on his face. We then made him search the house for the real heeleys - since he liked searching so much. He was mad at first but was happy to finally practice with his new shoes!

Trevor's 9th Birthday party

On June 15th Trevor invited 2 friends over to spend the night and then to spend the next day with us. We had pizza, cake (shaped like a Pokemon Snorlax) and ice cream. Then we went to the park for awhile and watched a DVD. The next morning we had a late breakfast and then packed up to go to the Denver Zoo and Casa Bonita. It was a great day!

Here we are at the visitors center. Todd and Christen actually climbed pretty far up the dunes. We had fun playing in Medano Creek after we climbed.
