Learning New Tricks!

OK - now I know why people love blogging. Its so fun to learn new things. A friend of mine told me to check out her blog slide show and there is an easy link if you want to try it. ( Sorry Keri I didnt get to your way) Anyhow the top slides are from our South Dakota trip - sorry they are mostly sideways-- I will work on my technique. The lower slides are a few of the shots that Todd's friend from work took of us. She is taking a photography class and needed a family to practice on. The best part was that she gave us the disc for free and took MANY pictures. We are set for Christmas and everything!!!

Check out my Slide Show!

Turkey Trot

OK -- now I am back to the fall mindset! We are anxiously awaiting the return of Todd's folks from South Africa. They return the Saturday after Thanksgiving. So we just wanted them to know that we have picked out the turkey for their homecoming dinner!!!

More of our summer

This is backtracking again, but I wanted to mention another part of our summer. Shortly after coming home from the super fun South Dakota trip we were off again to Utah. The difference about this trip was that Todd stayed home to work. This meant me driving and doing everything with the kids. I had never taken a trip like this before without Todd but the kids were "fairly" good. We were there to see my mom but also to be involved with two seperate weddings for two of my nieces. It was so much fun to see most of my family!! We were also able to meet up with two of my college roomates and their families and some great friends who had moved from Colorado. It was a very packed week but very fun!!

Harry Potter Fans

This will be backtracking a bit, but we were very involved in the Harry Potter 7th book when it was released. At least Todd and Brandon both read it right away. There was a party at the library and then we went to our friends house to play Harry Potter Scene It (and some Guitar Hero too). Then we went to Borders and then WalMart at midnight to get the book. Luckily Brandon had won a first chance at a library copy so Todd and Brandon werent fighting over our copy.

It's Fall!

I love fall!! It is my favorite time of year. Unfortunately, this season doesnt last too long because it usually starts to snow around Halloween. The kids are doing great in school. There are all together because they attend a K - 8th. Brandon is in 6th - middle school. Trevor is in 4th and has a male teacher this year. Christen is in first grade and loves everything about school. Her teacher's brother in law plays for the Broncos so that is cool - although right now we are excited for the Rockies doing so well! Who knew ??

The boys are both in band this year at school playing trombone and Todd also actually has joined our town band!! He has had a great time with his new - old hobby. he has already had a few concerts. Todd and I have also recently taken a dance class together - the west Coast Swing. It was much more fun than we expected! Christen has started up her dance class again as well.

South Dakota Vacation!

In July we took an AWESOME vacation to south Dakota! Neither Todd nor I had been there and we have been thinking about it for awhile. We planned our trip with some great friends of ours. We stayed in a hotel the first two nights and then in a cabin for three nights. Of course we saw Mt Rushmore which was incredible but we also saw Crazy Horse, Reptile Gardens, Custer, Bear Coutry USA, Evans Plunge, Alpine Slide, and the Presidential Wax Museum. We had the best time!!

Here we are at the visitors center. Todd and Christen actually climbed pretty far up the dunes. We had fun playing in Medano Creek after we climbed.
