Can anyone tell me how to add new subscriptions to my google reader account? I really have tried on my own. By the way, thank you Wendy, Sara and Cindy for your help updating my blog. I am so clueless!

Friendly warning
Last night on the way home from scouts at the church I was minding my own business when all of the sudden I saw those dreaded flashing lights behind me. What a horrible feeling that is!! Anyhow, we have a lot of construction going on in the daytime right by our house and it is - let's say a tricky spot - and MUCH slower limit than normal. I dont know why I got off so lucky but he just gave me a warning and reminded me that it would have been a $260 fine during the day time!! Woah. So -- slow down all of you who live near me - you know where I am talking about.

Conference weekend
We had a great conference weekend. Kay went with us 2 times to the church in between caring for grandma and we listened at home on the internet. I loved listening to all of it! I had to laugh at Brandon when he went to Priesthood session with Todd he asked now what will we be doing there? I said you get 2 extra hours of conference because you are a boy!! Plus ice cream afterwards! I asked him what he remembered and he said right off -- Our new prophet can wiggle his ears! There you go!! He was so cute and I was so proud of him because he was excited and willing to go.
On a side note Grandma and Kay will be leaving Monday on an Air Ambulance. I will really miss visiting with Kay especially in the evenings and lunchtimes. It was also a great opprotunity to be with Grandma and serve her. I learned that she was one of the first 5 people to ever cross the Golden Gate Bridge! She also held the 2002 Olympic torch on the way to SLC. She has so many great stories, experiences and jokes!!

New Dealer in Town

Right during Spring Break we had an interresting situation come up. I got a call from my mom saying that my Grandma and 2 aunts are in town - however , under unfortunate circumstanses. Grandma fell and broke her hip while changing planes at the airport!!! She was in a nearby hospital for a week, had a hip replacement and then now she is in our town at a rehab place. Dian had to continue the trip but Kay has stayed here with us and grandma to help care for her. It has been great to visit with grandma and comfort her with chocolate, balloons, cards from my kids and lots of Skipbo games. I have loved getting to know my Aunt Kay as well. It has been such a rollercoaster ride though trying to figure out what to do, how to get grandma home , bills etc etc. It has been pretty stressful for everyone, but we have also been so blessed as well. Dale and Mary Jo also came by to visit on their way home from my cousinn's wedding. A little mini reunion. Poor grandma is so ready to go home but she is not quite ready.
In the meantime, the title refers to her love of Skipbo!!

Spring Break 08

.......................................................................Todd took the week off for Spring Break. We all needed some time together just hanging out around town. We enjoyed our zoo pass. It was a beautiful day and it wasnt crowded. We had a great time! We also went bowling and went to Country Buffet. Brandon went back way too many times. That boy has a hollow leg! They all loved geting their mixed drinks with ALL of the flavors of pop! Todd and the kids went to Castlewood Canyon with the dogs. We also dyed Easter Eggs of course. Todd and I also went on a date of sorts to the District Scout Dinner where Todd was awarded a District Award of Merit.

The Great Sand Dunes
Here we are at the visitors center. Todd and Christen actually climbed pretty far up the dunes. We had fun playing in Medano Creek after we climbed.

Christen just had a recital with her group and did a great job!
